September already – which is the month when work on our first production for the season begins in earnest. The cast of Hindle Wakes is now in rehearsals – and we are all looking forward to joining them in the Lancashire town of Hindle. It’s 1912, and the three interconnected families in this play are about to be thrown into disarray, with some serious challenges to friendships, loyalties and expectations. How will the moral dilemmas thrown up be resolved? Mr and Mrs Hawthorn (pictured) are seriously concerned about their errant daughter.
The set building team has already begun its work, and the theatre building is being made ready to welcome everyone back.
Tickets for Hindle Wakes are now on sale on-line via the Green Room website, and Saturday morning box office openings are from 16 September (11am till 12 noon).
