The Green Room welcomes members of all ages, and has different types of membership: full, social or junior/student.
1. FULL MEMBERSHIP
Acting, Backstage duties, Stage Management, Directing, Props, Lighting and Sound, House Management, active involvement in productions, administration, committee work etc.

Terms and Conditions of The Green Room Theatre, Wilmslow FREE MEMBERSHIP offer for under 35s for the first year of membership.
- We reserve the right to withdraw or cancel this FREE MEMBERSHIP offer for any reason at any time.
- This FREE MEMBERSHIP offer cannot be exchanged or transferred into the cash equivalent of The Green Room Theatre Wilmslow full membership fee or any other cash transaction.
- Applicant must be aged 35 years or under on the date of application.
- Free membership is for one season only, or, if joining after 01 January in the current season, until the end of the following season.
- The Green Room Season runs from 01 September to 31 August each year.
- Once free membership expires renewal is invited at the reduced rate of £20 for one season, thereafter full membership rates apply.
- This offer can only be used by an individual on one occasion.

2. SOCIAL MEMBERSHIP
Set building, Wardrobe hire and management, Photography, Publicity, Box Office, Front of House, Bar, Coffee rota, Ice-cream Sales.
3. JUNIOR or STUDENT MEMBERSHIP
For those under 21; as for Full Membership.
How could you help?
No special skills are needed – apart from interest, enthusiasm, commitment and some time to give. There are opportunities for getting involved in activities front of house, or back stage, or on stage; you will experience working in a team, and have the chance to see how productions are prepared. You might choose to help with running events, serving on committees, or assisting practically. There are roles and jobs for all. You will meet others, make new friends, and be able to contribute to the success of our own little theatre.

Details are on the form of current subscriptions and there is the opportunity to select areas and activities that might be of special interest to you. Membership is potentially open to all – see above for some further details.

Benefits of Membership
All our members receive regular newsletters, about forthcoming productions (including booking details and dates), about events, plans and reviews. Each member can book during an early, priority week, and is entitled to a discounted ticket price of £8 (reduced from £10).
Our Committees and Activity Groups
There are a number of committees and activities, that as a member, you would be welcome to join.
Executive: Elected by members and responsible for running the society.
Play & Stage: Read, choose and cast all our plays.
Social: Organise members’ social events.
Marketing: Our strategy for promoting and selling our plays and society membership.
Publicity: Tell the world about our plays and activities.
Set Construction: Joiners, painters, artists.
Wardrobe: Costume plays, backstage dressers, sew and mend.
Lighting & Sound: Design and set up of lighting and sound effects.
Backstage: Stage Manager, sourcing props and assistant stage managers.
Front of House: House Manager, ticketing, bar, coffee and ice-cream duties.
And all this is before we get to acting and directing.
