The Green Room was pleased to host a visiting production, from Stockport Garrick Theatre, of Constellations. Starring Jess Nichols and Sam Marriott, this two-hander presented the intriguing relationship shifts that developed – or might have occurred between the characters. Marianne and Roland meet, become friends and lovers – but nothing is straightforward or certain, as several alternative developments and possibilities were explored.
The audiences on the three nights of the run experienced the highs and lows of the relationship, its joys and challenges, delighted and moved by the variety of decisions and emotions shown – paths taken and options untried.
